Purpose of the application
GREWAPP is a citizen science application developed within the framework of the Interreg Italy–Croatia GREW (Green and Resilient Wetlands) project.
The app allows registered users to contribute to the monitoring and protection of wetlands by submitting reports, environmental data, photographs, and geolocated information.
The collected data are used exclusively for research, environmental analysis, educational purposes, and support to public authorities involved in the project.

Nature of submitted information
Users are fully responsible for the content they submit through GREWAPP. It is forbidden to send false, offensive, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful information.
The collected reports may be used for scientific, statistical, or educational purposes in anonymous and aggregated form.
GREW project partners do not guarantee the accuracy of the information submitted and cannot be held responsible for any misuse by users.

Collection and use of personal data
While using the app, GREWAPP may collect and process the following personal data:
- identification data provided upon registration (e.g., name, surname, e-mail address);
- geolocation data (GPS) referring to the location of the report;
- multimedia content (photos, text descriptions, notes) voluntarily uploaded by the user.
Data are processed in accordance with
Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and national legislation, solely for the purposes of the project and in the public interest linked to the Interreg initiative.

Legal basis for processing
Data processing is based on the explicit consent of the user, expressed at registration and reconfirmed at the time of data submission.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

Data retention and security
Personal data are stored only for the time necessary to achieve the project’s purposes, and in any case, not beyond the period established by the Interreg programme for research data retention.
Appropriate technical and organizational measures are adopted to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and security.

Data sharing
Data may be shared, within the scope of the project, with public bodies and research institutions participating in the Interreg GREW programme, in compliance with the principles of data minimization and transparency.
No data will be transferred to third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

User rights
In accordance with Articles 15–22 of the GDPR, users may exercise the following rights at any time:
- access, rectify, or delete their data;
- restrict or object to processing;
- request data portability.

Lead Partner of the Interreg GREW project, or to the
Data Protection Officer (DPO), whose contact details are provided in the privacy notice available within the app and on the project’s official website.

Limitation of Liability
The partners of the Interreg GREW project do not guarantee the continuous availability of the application, nor the absence of technical errors, malfunctions, or service interruptions. They shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from improper use of the app or from the publication of content that does not comply with current regulations.

Age Classification
Content suitable for children aged 6 and above. It does not contain violent material, inappropriate language, or advertisements unsuitable for minors.
This application is intended for users aged 6 and over. Parents or guardians are encouraged to supervise minors while using the app.

Updates and Modifications
This disclaimer may be updated or modified at any time. Substantial changes will be communicated to users through in-app notifications or publication on the official GREW project website.

Acceptance
Use of GREWAPP implies full acceptance of this disclaimer and of the privacy policy regarding the processing of personal data.
The user declares to have read, understood, and accepted the terms of use and the purposes of data processing pursuant to the GDPR.
